Poledance: Elastic helps to get your abs working!

Lately at the pole we’ve been doing some fun exercises with elastic bands, the ones made for supporting while doing chins for example – if you haven’t got access to one here’s where you can plance an order at GYMGROSSISTEN. There are different colors of the elastics for different resistance, choose yours.

So here are two videos, preparing you for iron-x and shouldermount with your legs straight out.

A tip is to do the workout with a friend so you can help eachother with the elastic while you get up on the pole and remind of the technique.
Do it for as many times your muscles bother, and then two more. :-)

Poledance: inverted aysha ball – the struggle!

Soooo lately I’ve been working my ARM off, I literally had to stop practicing this trick because it hurt so much haha. (But still I love it!)

Luckily we have a crash-mat, so the struggle is pretty smooth. I saw my friend and founder of STHLM POLE do this trick.

HOW TO:
From aysha you move your legs to the same side of the pole, while letting them down closer to your upperbody, move your neck onto the pole and bend the lower arm.
Let the legs go under the arm which you have the grip on the pole with – then you should be able to let the lower arm get up and connect with the other hand.
Sounds simple right?
I will post a video as soon as I have managed this.

Todays workplace and a little SNEAK-peak of our coming sport brand

The sport brand we have been working on for the past 2 years, is soon to be released.
Suddenly, I get the feeling ”are we really ready now…?”

Guess you will never know, if you are.
You just get started.

A lot of testing lately, wearing our sport-bra while poledancing, spinny upside down for example. This is really a SNEAK-peak because the only thing you can see is the shoulder, hehe.

Pole: Handstand with a twist

What a nice polesession! I’ve been working a lot on my backbends, with yoga and stretching. It seems to be paying off, at least when I did this pole handstand.
Usually I tend to loose balance when I bend my back too much in upside down positions, but not this time.

I will set up a stretch-session in pictures for getting your back really bendy!

Pole: Spinny flow, jade & aysha

Kvällens polepass var härligt, trött i psyket efter en lång dag – skönt att få koppla bort en del och fokusera på annat.

Spinny till nya favoritlåten med Elliphant – Spoon Me, kolla in den HÄR.

Kombon är följande:
Shooting star, jade, tillbaka till aysha och sedan är ett bra alternativ att gå vidare till brass monkey.

Pole: Floorwork

Floorwork kallas de rörelser som utförs på golvet i koreografin, det händer ju då och då att man tar sig ur ett tricks, hamnar på golvet och behöver ta sig upp på ett snyggt sätt och applicerar floorwork.

En del av det jag älskar med poledance är friheten i att ”flowa” till musiken.
”Det” kommer till en liksom. Rörelser till musiken.

Det vi gör från hjärtat är aldrig fel. :-)

Poledance, flow to fireball!

Idag är det lördag vilket är den mest självklara pole-dagen på hela veckan – äntligen!
Har fortfarande träningsvärk sen onsdagens polepass på STHLMPOLE hos Sandra Lundin. Vi gjorde en hel del handsprings med olika typer av grepp (cup, regular, twisted) – samt utgång till handspring från scorpio som jag länge gruvat mig för då det innebar att lära mig handspring åt ”fel håll”. Men nu satt den, Tackar för det Sandra!
