  2.  The Robin Sharma Mastery Sessions.

Hitta nya vägar in – och nya vägar ut.

TO READ: The 25 Principles of Success

How to get from Where you Are to where you want to Be – The 25 Principles of Success by Jack Canfield.

I bought this book in Hamburg this summer when going to the airport.
It’s one of those books where I have underlined important sentences and foulded a lot of edges to remember. In other words, this is definitely a book worth reading – at least once!

If you’d like to move forward, reach a goal (or maybe set a goal), understand why you didn’t reach a goal at a certain point – this book will give you the answere. A lot of clear insights, tips and tricks to manage yourself and your vision. It’s about taking responsibility and being your own success, believing and seeing.
Unlike a lot of other books – this one gives you a lot of examples on how to take action with different tools and exercises.

Poledance: Elastic helps to get your abs working!

Lately at the pole we’ve been doing some fun exercises with elastic bands, the ones made for supporting while doing chins for example – if you haven’t got access to one here’s where you can plance an order at GYMGROSSISTEN. There are different colors of the elastics for different resistance, choose yours.

So here are two videos, preparing you for iron-x and shouldermount with your legs straight out.

A tip is to do the workout with a friend so you can help eachother with the elastic while you get up on the pole and remind of the technique.
Do it for as many times your muscles bother, and then two more. :-)

Exercise for upper body

This exercise is totally killing the upper body! Do it as many times you can handle, in 3 sets.
Good for your handstand practice, balance, core and arms. Especially when you are ”walking up” to the wall again.

Poledance: Anna Valfsson handspring/aysha variation

In the beginning of the summer I went to a workshop, as mentioned before, with Anna Valfsson. Since then I’ve been working on this trick when practicing, it’s tricky and challenges your balance.

Start with a shouldermount and get up as if you were gonna do a brass monkey.
Then take a steady grip with your forearms. Lower your feet, bring your knees closer to your upper body and get your butt ”out” from the pole so you have space for your leg to move through.

Et voilà!

Book to read: #GIRLBOSS

Lately I have been reading #GIRLBOSS written by Sophia Amoruso – the founder of Nastygal.

I read a lot of books – only non-fiction, biographies or psychology books, and this one is really worth mentioning.
It’s about Sophia (who is a true inspiration, so much self distance, love it!) her life and how she founded the clothing brand Nastygal.
Her journey and thoughts – her story. Reading the whole book I felt like having a down-to-earth peptalk with a girl who just knew what she wanted, but not really how to get there – and in the end she got so much further then she ever could have imagined.

Read it, it will give you a lot of inspiration!

Poledance: Aysha variation

This move, I call it ”Aysha variation”, I’ve only seen Sandra Lundin do before, she is really creative with combos and new trix!

It may hurt your shoulder a bit if you’re not pushing yourself out enough from the pole with the lower arm. Make sure your position is steady.

  1. Go to an invert crusifix on the pole.
  2. Like caterpillar, push yourself up with your lower arm in Aysha, the grip on the forearm should be close to the elbow.
  3. Upper arm – elbow grip just like usual in Aysha.
  4. Drag your knees to your body and when you are in balance, stretch your legs out into a split/V.

    Tadaa!

P.S If you have access to a crashmat, use that!

My cooperation with Raymond Ahlgren

Now it’s official! I will be working with Raymond and his courses, events, workshops and seminars about lifestyle and personal development.

”Personal Development” is an expression with different meaning to everyone. The purpose of personal development in this context is to, plain and simple, find your happiness and become the person you’ve always wanted to be.

You are your own creator.
For example, there will always be things going on in the outer world that affects you. Stuff that make you sad, angry, upset or whatever emotion is triggered. And that’s healthy, to a point – I mean feelings are feelings and they’re there for a reason. But if you let it get to you, and then blame the situations for your unhappiness or unfulfilled life – then you become a victim, even though the power of your hapiness is in your hands.

It’s also about raising your standards, taking care of what you have.

To get a greater grip of it all, listen to Raymonds talk at P1 a few years ago – it’s top notch and you may learn a lot! You can find it HERE.

I’m really looking forward to all the workshops, seminars and courses – and sharing it with you. Hopefully I’ll meet you there!

Poledance: spinny flow in Kiim Pole dance wear

So I’ve heard failure is the way to success, so maybe boredom is the way to excitement?
Lately I have been in such a weird mood. Not feeling like anything, dragging myself out of bed in the morning, going to pole or work or whatever usually is something I really like doing.
You need those days too, even though it’s not very fun, rather confusing, being in that state of mind.

So this weekend was a savior. A lot of poledance, Anna Valfsson and Zenia Rosas held some workshops here in Umeå at the studio, Polefit.

So much fun and tough training, the pole-spirit is back on track!

Tennis tips from a rookie! Part 1 – pick your racquet.

So I have a new project for this summer: learn how to play tennis!

Picking your tennis racquet.
There are different sizes of the racquet if you are a junior, lady or man. Usually there are descriptions of them at the store, but you should be able to hold the racquet with your thumb and fingers almost touching in ”the end”. If the racquet is too big, you will face troubles holding it steady and still while hitting the ball.

The sweet spot. Where you should hit the ball in the middle of the racquet. The beginner racquet often has a bigger sweet spot in the middle, meaning it is more allowing for you to not hit the ball exactly correct. Good!

Next part will be about how to play!

Photoshoot: Poledance Wear

Last week was intense, crazy much – and I love it! There is happening a lot with our new poledance brand and last week we had our first photoshoot. It was a lot of fun and if all goes well I will be able to show you the results this week – can’t wait! The models did an awesome job. It’s not that easy to hold on to your poletrick for as many seconds needed to get a great shot, also you must get the right angle, so we ran an adjusted eachother whenever the trick was all set but wrong direction from camera and lights.

Right now we are working on the website, to get all set up before the pictures arrive. There might be a trip to Germany this summer, I will tell you more about that later.

Starting a business and creating a brand, is the best journey I have ever started but also the most challenging and tough one. It’s a relief that soon, we can show the results for you.

Puma and Adidas – Brothers

Did you know that the founders of the big international companies, Puma and Adidas, are brothers?

Adolf (Adidas) Dassler and Rudolph (Puma) Dassler, grew up in Germany.
They started their business career together with the shared company named Dassler Brothers Sports Shoe Company. They complemented eachother well with Rudolph as the salesman and Adolf as the craftsman.
Operating from their mothers laundryroom, the brothers finally succeeded to get the shoes worn and won with at the Olympics in the 1930s – their sales escalated.

Along with their spike of selling, the tension between the brothers also rised.
A mix up with what seems to be grounding in miscommunication, ended in the brothers splitting up.
50/50, the assets and employees of their company – starting their own Adidas and Puma.

Thoughts about lifestyle and habits, question the usual!

I think it’s important, in all areas of life, to question the ”usual” or the ”normal”.
It may not always be necessary or result in changing a behavior, but what if we realize that we actually have no idea or good reason for doing things how we are doing them – and there is a better way?

OK some examples to make it clear:

Should I take aspirin if I have a headache, or maybe drink water and think about what the real problem for this headache is, not the symptom?

Should I watch the news everynight or may I spend that time in a better mode reading the headlines later? Do I really need to know?

What if failing is the best thing I can do, because THAT actually means I’m learning what’s right – so the school could really use some major changing in the system of tests/learning?

Is it really meant for us to work specific hours a week 8am to 5pm – Monday to Friday?

Don’t take the easy way out, by just doing and going.

Stop and think about your habits. Question them.

The worst thing that could happen, is you realize everything you are doing is in perfect match with what you want to become or how you want to live.

The best thing that could happen, is that you start changing your life.

Dub-Pole!

Song: Deadmau5 – Raise your weapon

I LOVE dubstep. It’s really hard to poledance to though, often the music feels too powerful and your moves are like, naah – just not as explosive, yet at least.

HERE you will

Poledance: Elbow handstand variation, combo

Did a really fun combo! It was a mistake in the beginning, I was working on my balance with handstand by pole – I didn’t want to fall down so I hooked on my knee and suddenly a perfect position for elbow handstand had appeared.

The important contrasts + chill music & book tip

The contrast, between doing A LOT of stuff all the time – to one day off with absolutely no plan except BEing. With yourself. Just drinking a cup of coffee, catching some sunshine, reading a good book, staring into the roof while listening to music. Really just, being.

HERE is some music for that.

and HERE is a good book you really should read.
About a dying mans reflection of life and lessons learned – shared to a friend.
It’s a beautiful story and very thoughtful.

Poledance: Allegra – HOW TO

How to Allegra:

Good Luck!
